The Average Timeline

Every home is unique, but most custom builds follow a timeline with three key phases:
Design & Planning (3–6 months)
From initial consultation to finalized plans, this stage includes concept development, selections, and budgeting.
Phase 1
Construction (10–14 months)
Once permits are in place, our team begins the build. Regular updates keep you informed as your home takes shape, from framing to finishing details.
Phase 2
Final Walkthrough & Handover
We review every detail together to ensure your home meets our standards and yours. After move-in, Wescon remains available for ongoing support.

How long does it take to build a custom home with Wescon?
Every home is different, but most projects take between 12 to 18 months from design to move-in. The design and planning stage usually lasts 3–6 months, construction averages 10–14 months, and we finish with a detailed walkthrough before handover.
Can Wescon build a home using my own architectural plans?
Yes, absolutely. If you already have architectural plans, Wescon Builders can bring your vision to life. We’ll review your plans, ensure they meet local building codes, and work closely with you throughout the construction process to deliver a high-quality, custom-built home that reflects your design.
Do I need to own land before contacting Wescon?
Not at all. Some of our clients already have a lot secured, while others need guidance in finding the right property. We are experienced in both and can help you select the right location to bring your vision to life.
What does “custom” really mean with Wescon?
For us, custom means every detail is designed around you. We don’t use preset floor plans or cookie-cutter layouts. Instead, we work with you and our design partners to create a home that reflects your lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
How do you make sure projects stay on budget?
We believe in transparency from day one. Budgets are developed around your priorities, with realistic allowances and no hidden costs. If changes are required during the build, we communicate them clearly so there are no surprises.
What happens after my home is complete?
