Wescon Builders was founded in 1995 by Wes, an ambitious immigrant from Poland who came to Canada with a strong work ethic and a passion for building. What began with plumbing, tile installation, and renovations quickly grew into a reputation for craftsmanship and honesty. Encouraged by clients and guided by his vision, Wes started Wescon to deliver custom homes built with pride, precision, and care.
More than three decades later, Wescon remains family-owned and family-run. From design to construction, every member of our team plays a role in ensuring your home is built the right way, the Wescon way.

Rob Maslanka
Field Supervisor
Robert Maslanka has been part of Wescon Builders from a young age, starting with small jobs, then summer work, and eventually stepping into a full-time career in construction. Over the years, he has built extensive hands-on experience in every stage of the custom home building process, earning the trust of both clients and trades.
Today, as Field Supervisor, Rob works closely with Wesley as his right hand in both operations and on-site leadership. He oversees daily site activity, coordinates crews and subcontractors, and ensures that every project reflects Wescon’s high standards of quality and craftsmanship. With his deep knowledge of the building process and commitment to the values Wescon was founded on, Rob continues to play a vital role in carrying the company’s vision forward for the next generation.

Renata Maslanka has been at the heart of Wescon Builders since the very beginning. After moving from Poland with Wesley, the two started out with little but a strong vision and work ethic. Together, they built Wescon from the ground up in 1995, turning it into the trusted name in custom home construction it is today.
As Office and Financial Administrator, Renata manages the company’s operations behind the scenes, overseeing administration, finances, and office management. While Wesley leads on the construction side, Renata ensures the business runs smoothly and efficiently. Her dedication, organization, and commitment have been instrumental in Wescon’s growth and success and she truly is the backbone of the company.

Director of Marketing & Business Development
Alex Maslanka, one of Wesley’s two sons, brings an entrepreneurial drive and a strong background in marketing, branding, and business development to Wescon Builders. From a young age, he spent many summers working hands-on in construction, gaining a deep understanding of the building process and the craftsmanship that defines Wescon homes.
Today, while managing his own businesses, Alex continues to play an active role behind the scenes at Wescon. He focuses on marketing, brand growth, business development, and other backend operations that support the company’s day-to-day success. With experience both on the job site and in business, he helps ensure the company’s commitment to quality and trusted relationships remains at the forefront.
